In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: qcom: q6apm: move component registration to unmanaged version q6apm component registers dais dynamically from ASoC toplology, which are allocated using device managed version apis. Allocating both component and dynamic dais using managed version could lead to incorrect free ordering, dai will be freed while component still holding references to it. Vulnerability analysis

Root Cause: The q6apm component uses device-managed (devm_*) APIs to register both the ASoC component and dynamically allocated DAIs from topology. This creates a resource ordering issue where the device-managed DAIs are freed before the component that still holds references to them, leading to use-after-free when the component tries to access the freed DAI pointers during cleanup.

Attack Surface: Local attack surface requiring access to audio subsystem functionality. The vulnerability is triggered during device removal/unbinding operations, specifically when the APR (Asynchronous Packet Router) device is removed, which can happen during system shutdown, driver unloading, or device hotplug scenarios on Qualcomm platforms.

Fix Mechanism: The fix changes the component registration from devm_snd_soc_register_component() to snd_soc_register_component() (unmanaged version) and adds an explicit apm_remove() function that calls snd_soc_unregister_component(). This ensures the component is unregistered before the device-managed DAI resources are freed, preventing the use-after-free condition.
